Suspended Franklin Twp Firefighter Resigns After Racist Facebook Comments

#BlackLivesMatter, #BlackTwitter, and every pro-black person walking the planet. This is a true definition of racism. Not the nonsense you peddle on a daily basis.

A suspended Franklin Township volunteer firefighter has resigned amid accusations he made racist remarks on Facebook.

Franklin Township officials said they’ll accept his letter of resignation at their next meeting which is scheduled for Sept. 27.

“I think he will learn from this. It doesn’t reflect Franklin Township. I will make sure people see the positive side of Franklin Township over my next two years,” Trustee Brian Morris said.

A woman by the name of Joei Frame Roysdon has identified herself as his wife and said: “He admitted that he said things that were wrong and apologized.”

She went on to say, “Everyone deserves a second chance and is also entitled to their own opinion.”

On Monday, the president of NAACP Middletown called for him to be fired.

Dora Bronston, president of NAACP Middletown, said a message must be clear that no racial bias of any source should be tolerated:

Statement To Call For Franklin  Firefighter Tyler Roysdon’s Termination

Fire Chief Steve Bishop must terminate Fireman Roysdon for violating the Fireman’s Code of Ethics. A message must be clear that no racial bias of any source can be tolerated. A suspension would a slap on the hand.

Please click on the link U.S. Fire Administration Code of Ethics and review the bullet to “Never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, gender, sexual preference, medical condition or handicap. Thereafter, review the bullet that states to “Responsibly use social networking, electronic communications, or other media technology opportunities in a manner that does not discredit, dishonor or embarrass my organization, the fire service and the public. I also understand that failure to resolve or report inappropriate use of this media equates to condoning this behavior.” The Fireman who pledged to abide by these Code of Ethics swore to adhere to the principles of  this valuable career. As we are making valuable progress in our cities, we cannot allow any staff members cause us to lose ground.
