And so she should along with the rest of us. HYPOCRITES!!!
After a tumultuous year riddled with stories of sexual abuse and harassment, Golden Globes attendees decided to wear black in a message of solidarity.
In a now-deleted tweet ahead of the award show, she targeted actress Meryl Streep, “who happily worked for The Pig Monster,” and others for their “silent protest.”
“YOUR SILENCE is THE problem,” she tweeted. “You’ll accept a fake award breathlessly & affect (sic) no real change. I despise your hypocrisy. Maybe you should all wear Marchesa.”
On Sunday, Italian actress Asia Argento tweeted to McGowan that “no one should forget” that she was the “first one who broke the silence”:

While people have since come out in droves to support victims, McGowan responded that “not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger” without her. She tweeted:
And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery, but you I love, .@AsiaArgento #RoseArmy https://t.co/9e0938y5sI

McGowan added that she has “no time for Hollywood fakery,” but that she loves Argento.
