Jesse Jackson endorses Clinton: ‘You can trust her’

When you have so called “black leaders” like Jesse Jackson endorsing Hillary Clinton GUARANTEES that the black community will continue to vote for their own demise.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson endorsed Hillary Clinton for president Saturday and said he trusts her to tackle important issues.

Jackson, who was a Democratic presidential candidate in 1984 and 1988, held a press conference in Chicago to make the announcement Saturday afternoon.

“We trust her to work on health care, to fight for the poor … for the willingness to fight for civil rights,” Jackson said.

The civil rights icon previously said his long history of working with both Clinton and rival Bernie Sanders prevented him from endorsing until the party’s nominee was named.

Jackson endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama for president over Clinton in 2008.

He and the former secretary of State worked together decades ago to fight poverty in Mississippi and again when she teamed up with Marian Wright Edelman to tackle children’s healthcare issues.

He also coordinated with Sanders on efforts to regulate Wall Street, and Sanders endorsed Jackson’s presidential bids in the 1980s.

Jackson now heads the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, a non-profit organization that pursues social justice, civil rights and political activism.
