Why hasn’t every potential rapist ran this scenario through their head? And we have another case of an illegal alien roaming the streets of America and he shouldn’t be here to begin with. I will give Trump major KUDOS if he somehow builds that wall and makes Mexico pay for it.
A man is accused of breaking into a woman’s home and trying to rape her as she slept next to her boyfriend Monday.
Adrian Sanchez Alverez, 25, faces complaints of attempted first-degree rape, first-degree burglary, knowingly concealing stolen property and false impersonation.
The 26-year-old victim told police she was sleeping with her boyfriend at their home in an undisclosed location about 3:15 a.m. when the incident occurred. The woman, who was naked, said she awoke to a man on top of her and attempting to rape her, according to an arrest report.
The woman began screaming and hit the assailant’s chest, and the man reportedly left the room and ran out the front door, which had not been locked. One of his tennis shoes was left behind, police said.
The woman’s screaming woke up her boyfriend, who noticed her iPhone was missing. The phone was traced to the Bristol Park Apartments near 41st Street and Garnett Road but was then deactivated, police said.
The woman was taken to Hillcrest Hospital to undergo a sexual assault exam, according to the report.
Surveillance from a neighboring home showed the suspect walking toward the woman’s house just before the attack and walking away minutes after, the report states.
Investigators learned the suspect used to date a relative of the victim’s. They were able to track the stolen phone later in the evening after it was turned back on at the Bristol Park Apartments. Officers arrived at the apartment and spoke with Alverez, who provided them with a fraudulent permanent resident card, according to the report.
The man agreed to allowing officers to search his apartment for the iPhone, the report states. Inside, they reportedly found a handgun reported stolen in Owasso.
Alverez was arrested and taken to the Sex Crimes Unit to be interviewed.
Using a translator, Alverez initially denied the allegations and told investigators he had been at a bar with a friend. He later allegedly admitted to going into the victim’s residence and getting in her bed while exposing himself.
When asked why he did not ask for consent from the woman, he said, “If I would have asked, she would have said no,” the report states. He also reportedly said he found the victim attractive because “she is a woman.”
Alverez told police he had stolen the cellphone and sold it to a friend for $50 but did not provide the friend’s name.
Alverez was booked into the Tulsa Jail, with bail set at $73,500.
