Explosion reported near Port Authority Bus Terminal, one man in custody

Allahu Akbar At It Again???

An explosion was reported Monday near the Port Authority Bus Terminal, sending early morning commuters scrambling.

The NYPD said it’s investigating the incident, and have cleared out the A, C and E subway lines that sit beneath the building.

Cops took one man into custody, who they intially believe was carrying an explosive that went off, per a police source. He appears to be the only one injured so far.

Mayor de Blasio has been briefed of the ongoing situation, as has President Trump.

Several blocks of Eighth Ave. were shut down as emergency responders filled the street.

The alleged blast also shuttered the 1, 2 and 3 subway lines and locked down the area around the bus depot, which is between West 40th and West 42nd Sts. and Eighth and Ninth Aves.

Keith Woodfin said he was comind down the second-floor escalator Monday morning when he heard patroling National Guard troops get radioed and rushed to the first floor.

“I was exiting the Port Authority and the National Guard was running towards something shouting “Go, Go, Go,”” he tweeted.

Designer Chelsea LaSalle tweeted that she was “stuck in a running stampede at port authority bus terminal due to bomb scare. cops EVERYWHERE.”

The Port Authority tweeted the terminal was open after the blast , but the Eighth Ave. subway entrance at the facility remained closed.
