So it’s come down to this. Catholic universities will not allow Pro-Life posters to be put up because they are scared they might offend Black Lives Matter supporters. Are you frigging kidding me???
The nation’s largest Catholic university rejected an attempt by students to place an “Unborn Lives Matter” poster on campus.
The DePaul University College Republican club said it was denied permission because administrators were concerned that the pro-life statement would offend Black Lives Matter supporters.
College Republican member Jorin Burkhart said on The O’Reilly Factor that the school “all but endorsed the Black Lives Matter movement”, including posting BLM signs in university offices.
“As soon as a student group wants to alter that slogan to point to a different group that we recognize as being marginalized,” Burkhart said, the college administration sees it as a problem.
College Republican club vice president John Minster said the school “doesn’t necessarily endorse [Black Lives Matter] straight-up,” but that they do “prevent certain things from happening that could potentially challenge them.”
“They’re stopping the basic Catholic value of pro-life ethics from being expressed because they are worried that it might provoke Black Lives Matter,” Minster said.
O’Reilly characterized a stated response by university president Rev. Dennis Holtschneider as fearing that the College Republicans’ poster would “wound” Black Lives Matter in some way.
